Ambassadors in Action
The Ambassadors in Action program is open to high school juniors and seniors. Ambassadors will be selected from area high schools based upon their applications and recommendations. A maximum of three students will be selected from each high school. This is a great opportunity for students interested in learning about business in the nonprofit sector, for students looking for meaningful volunteer opportunities, and/or students who want to have well-rounded experiences in preparation for college or career.
Ambassadors will be involved in many activities including an orientation to learn about nonprofits and NFHF, and the role of Ambassadors. They will be asked to attend an NFHF board meeting and at least two NFHF events, complete volunteer service in the community, promote the Best Buddies program in their schools, and work as a team of board members and executive director to solve a simulated scenario facing a nonprofit.
All Ambassadors who complete the program will receive a recommendation letter from the Northshore Families Helping Families Board of Directors and a Certificate of Achievement.
For more information, or to receive an application, please call NFHF at 985-875-0511 or email info@fhfnorthshore.org.
