Spring is here!
Spring has arrived and with that there are many events in which you can take part.
Saturday April 21st is the second annual Sweet Soiree at Stone Creek Club & Spa in Covington presented with ACCESS (Adapting and Changing Children’s Environments with Successful Solutions). Enjoy delicious desserts paired with adult libations as you dance the night away to the sweet sounds of jazz. This is a fundraising event for ACCESS to provide grants to families of children with disabilities in order to obtain assistive technology, adaptive equipment, home/vehicle modifications and more.
Friday April 27th is iLLUMiNATE for our individuals with disabilities aged 16 and older. Experiencing life among friends shines a light on the purpose we all have! iLLUMiNATE! celebrates real life while dining, singing and laughing together. Join First Baptist Church Covington and Northshore Families Helping Families for a fun night of crazy games & hilarious skits. Life’s purpose will be iLLUMiNATED!
Saturday April 28th is our parent conference “All You Ever Wanted to Know About Behavior Management, But Were Afraid to Ask” presented by Wendy Siegel, Ph.D. in Hammond. This presentation will take you through the process of figuring out the reason behind the behavior and how you can use that information to change the behavior in question to become a more positive one.
